A moment

tumblr_mujp0uHN461ri0kx4o1_1280 The events in Orlando have led to a soapbox for narrative and opinion- gun control! violence! the gay community! equality! terrorism! religion!  presidential campaigns! - it has been heartbreaking to both read and listen to.  I don't normally post about news on this blog for a multitude of reasons but in the midst of the dialogue we have been witness to, the fight for more of this and less of that I'm reminded of that ever so powerful voice of silence.  The one which allows us to remember those who lost lives of friends and families, those who struggle with inner demons and those who deserve to love truly and openly.

A moment to step away from the dialogue, the conversations that need to be had and remember the one thing that binds us all - humanity.

  1. It's so hard to block out all of the agendas going on in the wake of these tragedies, but like John Oliver says, we have to remember that for every one hateful person, there are so many that love and care and want to make the world a better place to live in. It's amazing seeing that most people are trying to spread love and ignoring the medias focus on terror/hate.
