Rincy Adam-063 There is a book called the Five Love Languages; I still have yet to run through its pages but the premise is all about learning the five ways we speak, understand and receive love : words of affirmation, acts of service, quality time, physical touch and gift giving.

While intentionally geared towards marriages, those elements consistently ring true with any healthy loving relationship (friends, girlfriends, boyfriends, siblings, family!).  And lately, I've been enormously thankful for this sweet pack of Kool-Aid who has been teaching me (through example) of all of those things.

While we can't jump into each other's work shoes or fully understand the nitty-gritty of the stressors of the other's day- we do outdoors, we do Game of Thrones episodes after long working days, set alarms to take time out to ring when we can't always and we do a lot of unprompted support.  It is by no means perfect or easy-but the effort is there to lighten each other's load.

Small tokens as consistently as we can give them.  It really has been the best sort of teamwork.

And so concludes the cheesiest post written on a Friday night.

  1. It's so funny that you've written about the Love Languages as I was just talking to my friend about it last week. My sister told me about it a few years ago and it's mad how much it can help any relationship once you understand the other person's most important love language and they yours. I'd actually love to read the book but haven't yet. These photos of you too together are gorgeous, you can see the love. Hope you're having a lovely weekend Rincy!
