Galway scenes

DSC_0429 DSC_0431 Galway was one of those places we escaped to not too long ago; a refreshing change of pace for the two days, one night short stay.  A place which seems so quintessentially Irish- where every corner and turn seems like a backdrop for a story you long for, a song you've heard in passing and a scene you remember in the rom-coms on a rainy night in.  It is sweet, friendly and somehow strikes that balance of a novel start whilst respecting traditions of old.   The food, design and music scene is nothing short of electric and I absolutely cannot wait to get another chance to go back.

This trip:  A stay at The Stop B&B, coffee: Coffeewerkandpress,  food: Kai Galway, Ard Bia , pubs + drinks: Salthouse, Tigh Neachtain (Naughton's) and a music night cap at Roisin Dubh (where we sang to Prince covers prior to leaving. The best.)

The next trip:  anything JP McMahon,  Loam and finally grabbing a doughnut at Boychik!

Smitten with the light in this city.
