DSC_0245 Timing is everything.  More than anything that I've learned over the last few years, it is this simple statement.  We live in a personal development type lifestyle and even more than that, one in which there is an active audience (colleagues, family, friends and the social media world of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).  On any given day, it can either egg you on or make the comparison game a very active voice in your head.

I am feeling the gentle nudge to write this today for a bevy of reasons but mostly, because the reminder is true and deserves to be constant.  Appearances do not always meet reality.  The interim phase of who you are now and who you want to be is tough, frustrating and unbelievably hard.  As much as it may feel like it at times, you are not alone. Own it, keep moving and try in every fleeting way to be kind to yourself.

Create your own momentum for better.

On repeat: you are made for more.
[edit: Linn wrote something so true and important in the comments below, and I am so thankful she did. Thank you! x]

  1. Totally true. I feel that sometimes that this constant striving for being more, better and so on can make us forget to live in the now.
So I'd like to add to your sentiment that Eventhough you are ment for something more, you are also good enough right now.
Self compassion is so incredibly hard so keep practicing <3

  2. Well said. Be kind to yourself while knowing you're meant for more. :) xo
