Love in Texas| Part One

Some of you may know that I spent the last week in Texas- a trip that for many reasons I was a mixed jumble of emotions about and that sort of 'heavy' thinking can wreak havoc on my normally positive disposition.  Thankfully, the trip was more than uplifting and getting to be a part of my brother's wedding and fall into step during the most fruitful part of his love story was just joy exemplified.

As for Texas, it is big and bold and quite literally too hot to handle on most days.  But, I loved it- the cool bliss of Barton Springs, the boba teas to rescue us from the dry heat, the impressive size of the medical centre, a dancing night out on 6th street, the ultimate getaway in Travasaa and undeniable sunsets and views of the hill country of Austin.

All of which would be silly to mention without the sweetness that is Nina, the Castro family and friends.  Words fail to express how palpable love is during a wedding but I think it's pretty safe to say that the little part I bore witness to was the ultimate gift.  Our broken family has found its first anchor.

And it is undeniably beautiful. DSC_0095 DSC_0076 DSC_0085 DSC_0074 DSC_0065 picisto-20140827054102-860315 DSC_0024 DSC_0105
