Snow

Monday, March 11, 2013

When I first moved to Ireland, I was offered all sorts of advice. Particularly about the weather.  But if you're like me at all, you'll never have a brolly on days that it rains or you'll lose it in a cafe because 30 minutes later it's blue skies and sun and who really remembers an umbrella when that happens?

Unexpectedly, (or expectedly if you check the weather forecast) it snowed for a few frosty hours this morning. While the next few days may be filled with grumblings and general misery about how cold it is... DSC_1234 that first flurry of snowflakes is always undeniably beautiful to me.  Almost like being inside of a magical little snow globe.

    1. When I lived in Michigan, I use to complain about it all the time! Never on the first day though. That day was always pretty special :)

    1. I quite literally ran up to the roof top to spin around when I saw it--such a kid I am. That was cut real short cause it was just plain COLD after a while. And I KNOW, March is much too late for this sort of weather ;)

    1. Will send you a few snowflakes so! :) After a little while the magic of snow fades and the delight of sun is so much more appealing. But I suppose it's always the grass is greener type thing, isn't it? Hope you're having a lovely week pretty lady! x
